Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who loved music. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as older boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. When she was 16 years old, she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After moving from Mexico to America around 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to various community-based projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations preserve the traditions.
