Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was five, she moved to Oxfordshire to attend The Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor by the age of six. For several years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing dance, acting and singing. When she was 10 years old, Emma took part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version from J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theatre teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after they all had 8 consecutive auditions. Emma's first appearance in a film was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. This film was 2001's highest earning film, smashing records during the opening day and the very first weekend. Reviewers praised the film, and especially the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Later Emma was nominated for five awards for her performance in the film, winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in an Feature Film.
