Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is an Spanish pop and flamenco vocalist. From her teens she has been active in pop music and flamenco. Her music also strays into other genres like hip-hop soul and Trap. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela has described her voice as sweet and sharp, yet full of the intensity and abrasions of more experienced singers. El Mal Querer is her new album made available in 2018, and was commercially and critically acclaimed. Following Los Angeles, her debut album in 2017 her album was nominated for the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and was also awarded the Grammy. In 2021, the hit single La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Motomami the third album by her comprised songwriting collaborations featuring Cory Henry, James Blake and other artists. The release came in the month of March, 2022 following a appearance of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia has been the only Spanish vocalist to appear solo on the program. As well as winning three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the very first woman to win the Latin Album of the Year twice.
